Find How much % is withdrawing from the total
5 Liters is 10% of 50 Liters.
Deduct 10% from Total then we got 90% means 9/10
Now, find how many times this will happened. Like in this question this will happen three times. (First, and twice more times)
So just solve a simple calculation
50 x (9/10)^3
= 36.45 liters
Total x (Remaining %)^Number of Times
