    1. Answer : 3 %
Explanation : 120% of Cost Price of First = 90% of Cost Price of Second
Then the Ratio of Cost Prices is - 3 : 4
So Take one cost price is 3x and other 4x
      20% of 3x = 60% of x (Profit from First)
      10% of 4x = 40% of x (Loss from Second)
Subtract Loss from Profit to get overall profit
      60% x - 40% x = 20% x
Total Cost Price of both goods is 3x+4x = 7x
      Profit % = (Profit / CP) x 100
      = (20%x / 7x) x 100 = 2.85 (3% Approximate)

  3. Answer is :- Page no. 13
Explanation: Sum of first 51 no's is 1326
    using Sum of the first n natural numbers, 1+2+3+ ... + n = n(n+1)/2
    we have n= 51, s(n) = (51*52)/2
    s(n) = 1326
we have given sum of remaining page no's is 1313
sum of total no of pages - sum of remaining page no's = page number which was torn off
    1326 -1313 = 13
    Ans. is page no. 13

  4. Correct Answer of Question No. 3 is 40 Liters
    Exlanation :
20% of 120 Liters is 24 Liters Water is already available in the mixture
Now we have to increase it to 40% in new solution
    So,
    40%(120+x)=24+x
Calculate the Value of x you will find the right answer 40

or you can use the method of Mixture and Allegation
as mentioned in Tips and Tricks (http://exambug.blogspot.in/p/tips-and-tricks.html)
