A pyramid stand on a triangular base with sides of 12, 5, 13 meters. Height of pyramid is 10 meters. Find the Volume of pyramid ?

    Correct Answer is 100
    Explanation : Sides of Traingles are 5, 12, 13. These are properties of right angle triangle so you can use (h=5, b=12)
    First of Calculate the area of triangle
    Area of right angled triangle = 1/2(b*h) = 1/2(5*12) = 30
    or
    you can Heron's Formula = Square root of {s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

    Now Volume of pyramid is 1/3*area of base * height

    1/3*30*10 = 100 cubic meters
